BRIDGE APPROACH STABILIZATION
Bridge design often necessitates that a large amount of soil is moved into place to build the level of the approach to that of the overpass. This soil is usually contained by a wing wall or similar structure, and is responsible for supporting the transition from road to bridge.
Because these areas are built above grade and comprised of placed soil, they are especially susceptible the degrading effects of settlement from cyclical loading, saturation or desiccation, and other environmental factors.
Our injection application prolongs the lifespan of bridge approaches by stabilizing the supporting soils, reducing the saturation point of the area, and lifting the approach slab for a smoother transition.
